How My Life Is as a Stay-At-Home Wife & SAHM( The Hidden Truth )

Share

There are some things I wish I had known before I became a stay-at-home wife. Despite my initial expectations, the experience was much harder than I thought.
As I spent more time as a SAHM, I started to see its good and bad sides.

Many stay-at-home moms & wives suffer in silence, putting on a brave face to hide their problems from everyone else. But don’t forget that these women are not weak at all.
They are strong, hardworking people who should be admired and respected. Despite being abused financially and mentally, they keep working hard to make a better life for themselves and their families.

What is a SAHM?

stay at home wife

A stay-at-home mom (SAHM) is a mother who stays home to do household chores and take care of her children without any salary per month.

Some might think that stay-at-home moms do nothing or have much free time, but that’s not true. Being a stay-at-home mom is the most challenging job I’ve ever seen.

Men whose wives stay home sometimes want to control their every move and money without realizing it.

Being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) has both pros and cons.

The Struggles of Being a Stay-at-Home Wife

1. No help from your spouse:

One bad thing about being a stay-at-home mom is that your partner can’t help you. Caring for kids can be hard, and your partner may not fully understand the challenges.

As a stay-at-home wife, it’s your job to take care of the kids and do all the housework.

2. Your partner may sometimes think you’re a lazy woman :

I was a stay-at-home mom with four young children, 2 twin boys, and two twin girls. At their young age, It was a lot of work.

I remember getting up at 5 a.m. and going to bed at 10 p.m. without any breaks. My husband didn’t believe I could always be tired because I was home all day.

He wanted a beautiful home that was always clean and dust-free, which I couldn’t do.

3. Financial problems and financial stress :

My husband valued money more than he valued me, and I felt afraid to discuss anything related to finances.

I always needed help with my necessities like clothes and shoes; his money was his money, that’s all.

I was not bringing anything to the table, so I was supposed to close my mouth and not discuss any financial project.

4. Feeling lonely, no social life :

Being alone at home with only your kids to talk to can be challenging. Finding time for yourself is also problematic.

5. No Respect

As a SAHM, My family, husband, and close friends have treated me disrespectfully as a stay-at-home mom.

Society often looks down on stay-at-home moms because they lack paid jobs.

6. Stress and Anxiety about the future
